Unusually this brooch is not owned by the Royal Family. Its owners are actually the Irish Guards, who loan out the brooch to members of the Royal Family associated with the Guards.
The brooch was designed by Cartier and gifted to Princess Mary by the Irish Guards in 1961. Following Princess Mary’s death the brooch was obtained by the Irish Guards at an auction of her personal jewellery. It was often loaned to the Queen Mother and has since been worn by Princess Anne and The Duchess of Cambridge.
We have replicated this brooch in gold plated copper as part of our replica Royal jewellery range. It has been commissioned exclusively for Karianne’s Secret and you will not find the same elsewhere.
Our shamrock brooch is beautiful in its simplicity, it consists of a single 18k gold plated shamrock with a simulated emerald (a 5A Green Cubic Zirconia) in the centre.
