Additional information
Measuring 7.7cm wide x 8.25cm in length, our Queen Victoria Diamond Jubilee brooch is a fabulous piece of replica royal jewellery. As the name suggests, it was given to Queen Victoria in 1897 by the members of her royal household to mark her Diamond Jubilee. The jewel was made in that year by Garrard. with a pearl centre surrounded by brilliants in cut-down diamonds, a detachable loop of brilliant ct diamonds with pearl drop.
Victoria wore the brooch for a state dinner during the jubilee festivities, and she went on to designate the piece as an heirloom of the crown. That means that it passes from monarch to monarch, and it was subsequently in the collection of Queen Alexandra and Queen Mary.
As an heirloom of the crown, the brooch should have passed to Queen Elizabeth II on her accession to the throne in 1952. However, it was a favourite of the Queen Mother and she kept it in her jewelry box for another half century, wearing it often.
Our version is constructed from 2 Freshwater pearls, 5A cubic zirconias and rhodium plated copper. It has been created for Karianne’s Secret and is exclusive, it is only available at our outlets. This beautiful piece of jewellery will be a must for royal collectors but it will be worn simply as a striking piece.
